Does your New Years resolutions include going to some spin classes? Head out to the Paseo Lawn at the Hotel Del Coronado for an oceanfront spin class to liven up your morning! This 50-minute instructor-led class is upbeat and has high-energy music and amazing ocean views! The class is only $15 for San Diego residents (with ID) and $25 for non-residents.
Beauty or Torture: Society’s Demand of Perfection Examined
12p-4p, Women’s Museum of California
Make sure to check out the Women’s Museum of California this Thursday for this exhibition that explores the lengths women have gone through throughout time to achieve the beauty standards society expected at different eras in time. Admission to this exhibition is $5 and is on display at the museum until January 28, 2018.
 

Friday, January 19th

Cardio Samba (Brazil)
6:30p-7:30p, Crown Dance Studio
Get some good cardio at Crown Dance Studio this Friday night before hitting the town! Glady Altafani is a Sambista of the Brazilian Carnivale and leads this class every Friday! Classes are $20 if you drop-in or less if you sign up for a membership.

Saturday, January 20th

Monster Jam
7p (Gates open at 5p), Petco Park
Monster Jam is returning to San Diego this Saturday with all the live action you’ve been waiting for! Watch 12,000-pound monster trucks powered by 1,500 horsepower engines compete on an obstacle course in Petco Park. Tickets range from $24 to $80 and if you add the Pit Party ass to your ticket, you will get to meet the drivers and get close-up looks of the trucks before the show starts!
San Diego Gulls vs. San Jose Barracuda
7p, Valley View Casino Center
Make sure to head to the Valley View Casino Center this Saturday to cheer on the San Diego Gulls as they face the San Jose Barracuda on Diversity Night. Tickets start at $22 and there will be a pregame party before the game from 5p-7p.
 

Sunday, January 21st

Cats on Mats: Yoga at the Cat Cafe

Not only can you expect the usual ‘pet a furry cat while sipping on a latte’ at San Diego’s Cat Cafe this Sunday, but you can also participate in a yoga class! The class is accepting of all levels and all guests get to interact with the Cat Cafe’s felines. Further, The cafe partners with the San Diego Humane Society which will feature cats that some lucky yogi participants will have a chance to adopt!
