Holiday in SD with visits to the Zoo and USS Midway

Make the best season to celebrate the holiday season in San Diego, CA. Five Star Tours has the perfect experience to enjoy a California Winter that does not snow. San Diego is known for it’s near perfect weather and year round activities. This is the best time to enjoy and savor the weather without the crowds. Our tour begins at the San Diego Airport were we will greet you and escort you to your hotel. Then we will do a four hour city tour of the San Diego. This evening, you’re invited to a hosted welcome reception. Our second day, we visit the World Famous San Diego Zoo and enjoy a behind the scenes look at the way the Zoo with an Inside Look of this place. Our third day starts with a day exploring Southern California Wine Country to Temecula. Enjoy a tour of visiting four wineries and a delightful lunch overlooking the wine valley. We will have time to visit Old Town Temecula and stroll the many different shops along the way. On the last day of the tour, we will depart early for a visit to the USS Midway Aircraft Museum with transfers to the Airport after 2 PM.

Winter Wonderland at Belmont Park

Belmont Park, San Diego’s iconic beachfront amusement park, brings families and friends together for the holiday season with its first annual Winter Wonder holiday spectacular on weekends from Dec. 1 through Jan. 5, 2020. The 94-year-old beachside park will offer a day-and-night experience, featuring a holiday toy drive, 10 to 15-foot-tall holiday-themed sculptures, a free Santa photo op, other winter-themed activities and entertainment; plus, Illuminated Winter Nights when the sun goes down.

La Jolla Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival

A wonderful Christmas parade lures people from all around to the sidewalks of La Jolla. You’ll see floats, marching bands, community groups, drill teams, vintage vehicles, horses, and yes-a camel! Church bells peal with a fly-over. There is also a Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Winter Wonderland at The Grand

The Holidays are magical at The Grand. Skate under the twinkling palms, take a whimsical ride on the ferris wheel and carousel and take selfies with Santa and friends by our festive 25 foot Christmas Tree. Enjoy some fireside s’mores and traditional refreshments in the Moet and Chandon Champagne Garden!
6pm, Village Walk at Eastlake
Experience the free, magical, nightly snowfall. The twice nightly snowfall, accompanied by choreographed lights and music through December 24, transforms the courtyard near the Koi Pond at Village Walk at EastLake into a holiday wonderland. Children receive free holiday headbands and “magic” glasses to view the snow falling in rainbow colors. Each night community caroling groups stroll through the center to entertain guests between the snowfalls.
